I had the honor of working with Chris Kerekes and Mat Kerekes to bring the story of Morningstar to life in the form of a graphic novel. I created over 60 hand drawn illustrations following Chris's direction for the story, and created the front cover illustration, then we collaborated on formatting everything together into a cohesive piece.

Morningstar started as both a song and a story, inspired by reading about primitive rituals. It is a dark, mythic fantasy, written for teens and older, but at its core it’s really a story about hope.
It is told in the form of a graphic novel and was brought to life by the amazing artwork of Rebecca Jackson. It is meant to be experienced alongside its companion, a song called “Morningstar” from Mat Kerekes’s album To Dream of Something Wicked.
